About
The People's Podium will recreate the famous ‘politician’s lectern’ that's been so visible during the pandemic, and transform it into a symbol of hope and empowerment for everyone.
In partnership with local community groups, the podium will tour the country helping people craft and deliver speeches that reflect their experience of the pandemic, and their hopes and aspirations for the future. Interactive workshops will be designed by Glimpse, and reflect the learning from the toolkit they are trailing with current partner - Manorfield Primary School in Tower Hamlets, London.
The project will start in Tower Hamlets, East London, before touring at least three other locations in the UK potentially including Redcar and Cleveland (North Yorkshire), and Doncaster (Doncaster Council).
