About
Somerset House will partner with Superflux and a team of climate experts to engage with a newly formed Youth Collective in imagining hopeful futures for the hotter world of tomorrow.
Their visions will be expressed through creative forms like murals, music and performance, as well as a podcast series in which they will discuss their hopes for the future. They will engage with six 18-30-year olds (from backgrounds underrepresented in the Arts) to develop coherent visions of futures that express their own hopes for a better world. These visions will be captured through writing, recorded discussions and visual sketches. They will catalyse creative expressions of these future visions through exercises of world building, narrative creation and storytelling. From murals to music, the forms these visions take is deliberately left open, so the young people can choose the medium that they feel most inclined towards. Finally, they will produce a 6-part podcast that gives voice to the different futures imagined.
