About
This project will build a diverse, UK-wide network of non-professionally trained designers who work within their communities to help shape their future.
The project brings in an interesting group of partners that enable the Design Council to have local reach into communities. Together they will co-design and visualise what a network of community designers might look like, and tell stories of community designers that already exist. The long-term ambition of the work is that this will be a catalyst for a new community level infrastructure of design capability in the UK, which is important for how places are designed by communities themselves.
